Growing leaps and bounds!

Every day I look at her and think time is just slipping out of my hands! She is growing so fast. I wish sometimes that I can keep her in this sweet baby phase, but I know that there are so many fun times ahead of us. The other day we met Jason and Bri and Mom and Dad at Panera. She was waving at them. She had never done that before and she did it without someone prompting her. I think that she is holding out on us for what all she has learned. She has also started sticking out her tongue. Jimmy says that I stick my tongue out when I am concentrating and when I am changing her diaper my tongue is hanging out! So I guess I am the culprit of that habit! Addy is just getting more fun every day.

Time to Lower Addyson's Bed!

This morning about 6:30 I heard Addyson over the monitor! I thought why in the world is she awake at this time! She never wakes up until about 7:45 every morning. I just let her sit in there and talk for a while and all of a sudden she stopped. So I went back to sleep and Jimmy got me up about 7:00. He had me come and look at her in her bed. She was out of her swaddler and on her belly sound a sleep sucking on her thumb! It was the cutest thing. About 20 minutes latter she woke up and she was pulled up on the side of the bed. I told her Daddy he has a project this weekend, he will be lowering Addyson's bed.

7 months old

WOW ! I cannot believe that it has been seven months since I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl ! Time has flown. I am sitting her thinking that in 5 months we will be throwing her a big first birthday bash. I have already started thinking about what the invitations are going to look like who we will invite, what the decorations are going to be and on and on.

Addy has started to learn so many new things over the past months. She has learn how to patty cake and she is so good at it you just mention the word patty cake and she is clapping. She has learned to pick up her puffs off her high chair tray and put them in her mouth. I think that she would eat the whole jar of puffs if we would allow her to. She has also learned how to get out of her swaddler at night. Jimmy and I will go in her room to check on her and she will have her hands folded behind her head! It is the cutest thing. She has also mastered sitting up. She can sit up so good. I love all the new things that she has learned! I can't wait for all the next firsts that are to come.

I am so thankful to have Addyson. God has blessed our family so much. She is a healthy and happy baby. What more could we ask for?

Nap in her own bed!

It has been so hard to get Addy to take a nap in her bed! She will sleep all night long in her bed but when it comes to taking a nap there she refuses. Today we were sitting in the recliner watching Word World and she laid her head on the pillow and went to sleep. I couldn't believe I didn't have to persuade her to go to sleep! I laid her down in her bed and she has been sleeping for about an hour and a half! It is so nice to be able to get the laundry all caught up. I have been working out everyday with a friend and it has been a little hard to keep up with the laundry. I hope that this napping pattern will continue. It is so great to be able to have a little time to myself to be able to get some house work done.

Easter Sunday

Today was Addyson's first Easter. We left this morning bright and early to go to my parents for Easter breakfast. Addy spent her time in this fun jumparoo. We went to church and two people joined the church. God is awesome! We then left to go to Jimmy's Aunt Helen's for lunch. The lunch was very yummy, like always! I ate way to much and nothing that I ate was on my diet but I am right back at it today! We then went to Jimmy's mom and dads and spent some time there.

Addy got lots of Pears and puffs for Easter! She will definitely love those. It was a long day, but a good day.
We went to my Grandparents house in Scottsville for an Easter egg hunt on Saturday. It was a fun time.

Half way crawling!

She always tries new things when I am not looking! I was in the kitchen and noticed that she was being awfully quiet playing in the living room floor. I peeked my head around the corner and she had her feet flat on the floor with you butt up in the air and her head in the floor. She is trying to figure out this whole crawling thing. She is trying really hard. She has also learned that if there is a toy on the other side of the blanket she can pull the blanket towards her to get the toy closer. She is one smart cookie. She amazes me every day with all the new things that she learns! I know that I say that a lot, but I am just so mesmerized by it!

Carseat Safety

When I was at the doctors office the other day there was a women that had a baby boy Addy's age. Her and I were walking outside at the same time and it just so happened that we were parked right next to each other. She put her baby boy in his carseat and got in her car. I proceeded to put Addy in the car. I was getting in the car and looked over at the baby boy in the back seat and he was in a FORWARD FACING carseat. Let me remind you he was Addy's age (which is 6 months old)! I didn't understand why she had him that way. When I drove off I could not stop thinking about that baby. If that mom was to get in an accident that baby would go straight through the windsheild. There are so many people out there who just do not care about car seat safety or are just plain ignorant about a car seat safety. A friend of mine sent me this article on facebook the other day and I would like to share it with everyone that I know that have children who are in car seats. Parents need to be educated about car seat safety or it could cost them their childs life! You can read the article by clicking this link:

Addy and her Six month adventure!

We took Addy to the doctor yesterday and she was a whopping 12 pounds and 11 ounces. When ever we go to the doctor they give you a progress sheet that tells you the things your baby should and should not be doing. One of the comments on the sheet was not to put your baby in a forward facing car seat till they are 20 pounds and 1 year old. I told the doctor I doubt that Addy is going to be 20 pounds before she is one! He said "you are probable right!" (laughing) I have finally excepted the fact that Addy is just going to be a petite baby girl. The doctor recommended that we start to give her some egg yokes. They are full of protein and fat and that is just what she needs. She is progressing in everything else just fine! Addy is all over the place. She is such a wiggle worm. A couple of sSundays ago at church she was all over the pew! She was smiling at Dace and Ella behind us and just really letting everyone see her little personality. She is trying so hard to crawl but just hasn't figured it out yet. I think that she is all over the place now wait till she takes off crawling. We are really excited about all the fun things that are to come in the upcoming weeks! We are so blessed to be able to enjoy the new things that our sweet baby girl learns.
